Google Play has become a critical platform for game developers to reach a wide and diverse audience. As VR is a nascent technology, both platform and developers have an opportunity to create a marketplace that offers a similarly broad and diverse catalog. In this talk, Lisa shares how Google Play is adapting its store management approach to programming the launch portfolio of apps for Daydream – with the goal of moving VR from a novelty to a mainstream movement.
Lisa Martinez is the Global Head of News, Media and Comics on the Google Play team. In this role, she oversees global strategy and U.S. strategic partnerships focused on Android solutions. Ms. Martinez joined Google in April 2004 as one of the founding members of the AdSense Sales organization. Most recently, Lisa served as Strategic Partner Development Manager for Media and Entertainment on the Global Product Partnerships team where she led initiatives focused on Search, Google Now and Identity. Prior to this, Ms. Martinez was Strategic Partner Lead, East Online in the DoubleClick organization where managed some of the most complex partnerships domestically and internationally as Acting Head of LATAM. Prior to Google, she led Channel Sales at measurement and analysis firm, Internet Profiles Corporation. Lisa entered tech through PR and Corporate Communications at Sega of America working on the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast product launch. Lisa has 20 years of experience in digital advertising and business development. Lisa holds a B.A. from Lafayette College.
